Ry Kenney is an accomplished songwriter, singer, producer, and performer. Ry is skilled in several instruments, with a primary focus on guitar and piano. His music has been featured in a diverse mix of media including video games, commercials, a documentary film, and his song “Tornado” has been featured on college radio. He has received the Collective Works award from the Song of the Year contest, which is awarded to musicians who display consistency in songwriting excellence.

Ry’s career in music began in Massachusetts and he spent several years in Nashville honing his craft and performing at songwriter showcases in famous venues like the Bluebird cafe and the French Quarter. Ry now resides in Brooklyn, New York, after spending time in North Carolina where he was able to focus on the completion of his new album Outside Dark Places. This 12-song album of pop-rock inspired music also includes hints of blues and folk-rock. All songs were written, performed, produced and recorded by Ry. He has drawn inspiration from such diverse talents as The Wallflowers, Mark Knopfler, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan.
